Short new film helps members understand NEC elections |
Ballots will be taking place this summer for contested seats on the union's national executive council for 2019 to 2021. Ballot papers will be sent to members from next Monday (15 April) but now is the time to start talking to members about the elections.
With that in mind, we've produced a handy, short animated film that helps you explain why the NEC elections are so important to the union (and therefore all members) and how quick and easy it is for all members to play a part. Please share the film with members on Twitter and Facebook.
There are also election posters (stock no 4071; Welsh/English 4073) and leaflets (4072; Welsh/English 4074) in the online catalogue and social media graphics in the resources section of the campaign page. Learning and Organising Services have also produced a handy guide to help you run quick workshops with members about the elections. All the links are below.

Our union, the union we have built together, is perfectly placed to lead and win that fight. And I know that our incredible health activists, at this conference and around the country, will be at the forefront of that., |

BARGAINING SUPPORT: New payslip regulations |
New payslip regulations have just come into force across England, Wales and Scotland. UNISON has produced a short guide which explains the changes, how the extra information can help to check that staff are receiving the pay that they are entitled to and the opportunities available to press for pay reporting that goes beyond the basic legal requirements. |
